DELEGATE ASSEMBLY VOTES TO "CANCEL BLOG"
Hi all,
In a well orchestrated kabuki reminiscent of events in "command economies", a motion was made to "Cancel the BLOG" and to create another Web Site that was for informational purposes only and which would be "The Official UCO sponsored Web Site". In other words, another UCO house organ, in consonance with the UCO Reporter that suppresses the residents rights to speak their minds.
A few points are worth noting; the group sponsoring this motion would have done well to do some research into Cyberspace Protocol; no action by the Delegate Assembly is sufficient in law to take down a Web Site that they do not own.
The most that this motion can accomplish is to cause this Site to be disassociated from UCO Sponsorship, and so it has been done.
Any other Site that is created, will, like the CV Q & A; wither and blow away, if the same draconian suppression is applied.
In the meanwhile, this Site will go on serving the Unit Owners of Century Village, as a free and open avenue of expression; even for those opposed to it!

This combination website /blog is no longer controlled by UCO.
ReplyDeleteHow do you like us now?
Bravo! the website/blog will go on. Thank you for all your work, David. It is much appreciated. I look to your blog every day to "keep me in the loop." Thank you for your dilligent work.
ReplyDeleteThanks Dave, Ed, Randall, Elaine, Ken & John for all your good hard work to make this blog work. Keep up the good work!!!!
ReplyDeleteThe website/blog is a great way of diseminating information to the residents of Century Village. If UCO wanted to disassociate itself from it, it is their loss and not the residents.
ReplyDeleteAgain...Thank you Dave for all your hard work.
Keep the faith but spread the word.
ReplyDeleteGreat job Dave.
may I say, oh those dunderheads. obviously techno-dinosaurs with tsarist leanings. the muse of freedom of speech and thought sits on Dave's shoulder. thanks to all who protect this blog.
ReplyDeleteThe Logo's gone, but Freedom of Speech (including Blogs)is alive and well. God bless all those who fought for the freedoms we presently enjoy!

ReplyDeleteI am so delighted to find that
ReplyDeletewe will still have a Blog.
I want to say THANK YOU a
million times to David.
I could not believe who made
the motion and I am willing to
bet that better than half the
people who voted to ban our Blog
that they have never even pulled
up our Blog.
I am also glad that the blog will keep going. Thank you to all the people that make it happen! If U. C .O. makes there own web site thats fine too, but I bet it would be as dead as the last one. Here you at least get important information, right or wrong, there is that option of different ideas here. Congratulations Dave
ReplyDeleteWhew! What a relief..
ReplyDeleteIt's original purpose, to inform
and educate will continue,thanks
to all the Blog supporters and it's adminstrators.
As for UCO's own website...I wish
them luck..
