Insurance again

Dear Elaine
Since the election campaign, I have seen your growing interest in insurance matters. I wonder why? You sometimes answer your own questions without having the slightest bit of professional knowledge. You also met me numerous times at the UCO office but not once did you question me on insurance related issues. I guess your questions were never questions at all, but statements in the form of questions because you are more concerned with bashing than with professional advice or information.

By the way! What is the MISTAKE that you and "your group" constantly referred to during and after the election? I never went into detail on what I felt the mistake really was. Maybe the MISTAKE was for:
•Trying to help the residents in insurance claims when there was no insurance coverage!
•When trying to overcome the MISTAKE OF THE INSURANCE COMPANY!
•Not commenting on all your comments which in most cases have a negative touch to it.
•Not informing the Delegate Assembly of the Insurance Company's mistake when I fully expected it would be fixed quickly.
Maybe you can tell me what you think the mistake was??!!

Can you tell me what point you are trying to make in your latest posting? Do you feel the water damage of numerous Associations should have simply been ignored???

AND FINALLY, WHY DON’T YOU EVER MENTION GOOD THINGS LIKE RENEWAL OF POLICIES
C H E A P E R?

As for the Blog, I myself do not read it too often since I have been running short of anti-venom serum due to people like yourself who choose to ignore the decade of devoted effort on my part, and instead find it much more satisfying to degrade me publicly in hope of raising self esteem. Who are you to cast the first stone? When you've devoted thousands of hours as a volunteer of UCO as I have, then maybe you will have earned the right to be critical. There are those who commit and contribute.... and those who would rather complain much more than they are willing to contribute. It's something you may want to consider.

  1. Thank God for Elaine's growing interest in ins issues and her raising of questions ----and I bet Elaine has racked up plenty of time helping others - some people do not toot their own horns or look for public acknowledgment! We should all be thankful a goodly number of people are raising questions now that so many troublesome issues have come to light --- pandora's box now open! and bravo to Pres. Israel for hitting the tasks full blast.

  2. Mr. Gladstone! still around? looking for someone to sue!
Your post is a noxious example of just using this platform to bash. My answer to you would be, what, who, huh, no, incorrect, not me, etc. because you are inventing and bashing at random, while floating in a sea of your own wonderfulness and denial.

I write about my experiences. I guess you did not like that I noticed the rise in our insurance budget, that is just arithmetic.
    > Professionals will be glad to list your mistakes as they are uncovered.
    > Philadelphia Insurance (who dropped us) will be glad to explain how water damage should be handled.

I am not a member of any group. Just Prez of my assoc, volunteer on the UCO Reporter, and a few years on Ch63, and Cable, and Blog, + family responsibilities. Oh yes, I spent 2 weeks talking to people who had bad experiences with you and 1st Priority. Sorry no one sees you as you see yourself. When I do write I am careful that all my material is researched and is as current, accurate, and factual as possible.

  3. PS Mr. Gladstone, I have not seen you 'numerous times at UCO', I came last year to obtain our building policy, you misled me twice and I finally got Proof of Insurance from Plastridge (2-pages). I was concerned that we might be under-insured like CV Deerfield. I still do not have the full policy. Why don't you return the policies that you removed from UCO, there is not a scrap of reference material remaining there.

  4. Hi All,
Recent discussions with Chuck Knudsen of Plasteridge Agency will finally lead to every Association receiving copies of their entire set of Insurance Policies.

All I can say is it's about time.

  5. Hey Dave,
For the sake of the rain forest (and us) would it be possible at the check-in desk at the next meeting to indicate the Delegates, when asked, who would prefer to be sent a searchable disc instead of wasting so much paper!! I know, you've probably thought of that approach as well.
I'll continue trying to suggest productive and innovative ideas which may, in some form or process, have escaped your attention. I hope I don't become obsolete!

  6. Hi Randall,
    March 31, 2010 7:25 PM,

Yes, this is but one of a number of requirements we have levied upon Chuck Knudsen. In addition to complete copies of the policies being made available to each Association, UCO is to receive CD's containing the policies in searchable Adobe PDF.

Once they are in our possession, we will copy the data to discs or Flash Drives for Associations so desiring such media.

We can also Email the data to those so requesting.
