Need Assistance?

For you or your neighbors:

1. V.P. Phyllis Richland at UCO (683-9189) has completed the Florida DCF Access Basic Training also known as Community Partners Access Training. This allows her to help those who need aid in applying for food stamps, Medicaid and assistance with paying utility bills. She can help those who qualify to fill out the applications on the computer in the privacy of a closed door environment and submit it right away. There is no record of that application at UCO. Once it is submitted it goes to the agency and from there within 24 hours you can call the agency for a status of your application. No one in her office or anywhere in UCO ever sees it again. This is a service for those of you that have no computer.

2. Congressman Ted Deutch or his representative will be in our Clubhouse, Classroom A at 10am – noon, on Monday 7/12, and on 8/2. They will take questions, concerns, etc., from Villagers attending. This is an excellent opportunity to let our politicians know what we need and expect from them. Typical questions that they often work on include:
Cutting through red tape or resolving problems with federal benefits. Immigration. Federal Grants. Social Security. Medicare. Veterans Benefits. Postal Issues. Public Housing. Assistance with any other federal agency
You can also contact his district office at 561-732-4000 if you need help.

3. Century Village Fund. Call Jean Dowling 640-7606 for info on the CV Fund assistance possibilities.
