Hi Marl,
ReplyDeleteI would doubt Comcast would allow that since they are selling movies on their cable.Dave would know though.

Hi all,
ReplyDeleteThe issue is one of Copywrite, unless we pay a fee, Clubhouse movies are out.
However, Comcast seems not to care, at least so states our account executive, if we air non copywrited films which are in the Public Domain.
That, of course means older films, so if there is some interest in this let me know; as many of these films are available on the INTERNET!

Hi Dave: There is a great old movie called "Reefer Madness" made in the 1930s about the dangers of pot smoking. I saw it years ago. Its in the public domain. UCO could air is as Midnite Madness Movies, or some such name...
ReplyDeletePl.
ReplyDeleteIn keeping with our CV residents proclivity for making weed brownies, your suggestion is perfect.

On a similar matter: The Clubhouse is WPRF property and all say in movies must go through them. It is my understanding that the public library on Okie has more leeway with movies, but they do not have the freedom to explicitly promote them.
