Condo Prices in CV West Palm Beach
Has anyone ever wondered why Condo prices are so low here?
Check out CV in Derfield Beach (which was built around the same time as WPB CV). Notice the difference in prices? What do you think could be the reason. They have the same amenities as us etc.
Just be interested in opinions from Unit owners here in WPB.

Hi all,
ReplyDeleteLet's start with Realtors who are low-balling our unit owners into "giving away" there units for very low prices!

I have commented on this issue in the past. The issue is more complex than the bad market and sagging economy.
ReplyDeleteEven when the market was doing well and speculators were buying up properties, CV was a great value.
Part of the problem lies in the myriad of rules and regulations that vary from condo to condo followed by the rules of the greater CV community.
I have spoken with many folks who checked out CV and balked at purchasing a unit due to all the rules surrounding the use of the units.
Having said that, it is those very rules that have kept CV a safe place with excellent amenities that are maintained in excellent condition.
It would be a difficult challenge to strike a balance of "tweaking" the rules to liberalize the use of the units and, at the same time, prevent the development from being used/rented by others who have no stake in keeping the site in its current state.
Even if such a balance was achieved, there is little, if any, incentive for the current residents, especially year round residents, to vote to approve such a change. The status quo works for the folks already here.
