    That is why my association small laundry bank account requires two signatures, and our large reserve is held by our maintenance company, they send us the check register every month.

    What this means is "Association which allows only one person to handle money will be taken to the cleaner"

    We also have 2 signatures needed for check writing. It is so important to keep records and do a financial statement at the end of the year. All assoications members should ask for them at their meetings.

    I am on the board in my building. I am so glad we have procedures in place to never have this happen. We also need 2 signatures and also proof (bill, etc.)

    We periodically have a building meeting to keep our association updated on expenses and what is in reserve. This is so important!!!
