Bettie, I cannot read it now, but I think it was you who said your posted words should not be reused or misused. Considering the confusion that was appearing a clean sweep seems a good idea. No doubt there will be a next time.
ReplyDeleteHi BettieL
ReplyDeleteI received advice from someone I respect, that the content of the Post in question would be best discussed behind closed doors.

ReplyDeleteIn essence, No one will air their displeasure at my
expense...
David:
I trust the demon that possessed you has now vanished.
You should know, BettieL
ReplyDeleteOh goodie! There's nothing better than juicy fodder what makes politics even more juicy!!
ReplyDeleteBettieL, get a grip. You are screaming (caps) on the blog, not necessary. You are upset for a supposed disparaging remark that I made about you. I just called it the way I saw it. You made a few disparaging remarks regarding the UCO Reporter. I just addressed your remark as I saw it. We now have an informative uncensored paper that we have not had in 8 years thanks to Dave and the staff of the Reporter. Once again thanks to Dave and the UCO Reporter staff.
ReplyDeleteDear Elaine...Hope you are wrong and a next time will not happen...once is enough!
ReplyDeleteThe May issue of the paper was delivered to the Reporter shop today. Most of you should get it today or tomorrow. Perhaps I am biased working there, but I thought it came out well. One thing especially struck me: I thought Sue Cohen's lead article was excellent. It was straight, unbiased reporting on the Golf Course controversy as taken up at the May delegates meeting, where there was overwhelming support for spending $25,000 for attorney fees to oppose the development. But then also, Mr. Waldman had his say on page 4 ("An interview with Andrew Waldman"). This is the kind of "fair and balanced" coverage we need in the newspaper, and I am proud of Jean Dowling and Sue Cohen for having brought this about. As this kind of coverage continues, not fearing to take on the controversial, I think our residents will come to appreciate it more and more. And the newspaper is not ONLY this by any means--witness several interesting articles and the tongue-in-cheek Society Page featuring "Aunt Blabby."
