GATE! WHAT GATE!!

Hi all,
I have not posted one of these for some time, but this incident is not to be believed. It would appear that this driver did not even tap the brake before blasting the gate-arm on exit. Please slow down.

  1. We need more of this kind of entertainment. Please put the ones up where the crazies are breaking the bars and driving off.

  2. Hi Mike,
    August 11, 2011 6:47 PM,

I will see what can be done, we have many of these, but none quite so blatant.

Most folks at least tap the breaks, and stop, but a few just drive away.

  3. These people who tap or break the gates are complete idiots! Who do they think they are? The sign says 10 miles per hour. This goes also to the drivers that make a right on the red light going on to Haverhill from the gate. There are 2 signs posted that say no turn on red. The signs are posted there because there is a blind side on the left which makes it dangerous to turn. The police would have a field day giving out tickets to these drivers but they are never around.

  4. Where was this taken? I don't recognize it as one of our gates. Is it? (Or I should say, was it?)

  5. Hi Lanny,

    Au Contraire Grasshopper!

This is indeed our exit gate.

  6. I COULD not figure this out, Boss, though I ran the tape several times—but I think I've got it now. This is looking into the Village along the Haverhill exit lane, and the well-groomed golf course is to the left.

    This guy was moving!

    Thanks as always,

  7. Can our camera system get the plate number on such an incident?

  8. Hi Ken,
    August 14, 2011 6:28 AM,

On the incoming gate, yes we can capture tag numbers.

This video is of the exit lanes at the Haverhill gate.

There are no tag cameras on the exit gates.
It's on the list of things to be done, but were not there yet.

To avoid trenching a cable, we would need IP cameras and possibly yet another upgrade to the DVR!

  9. Thanks Dave. I really believe it should be of high priority to have cameras at exit gates. Who knows, we might even nab some of Mikes friends.
