Please stay home this evening and give these floods time to drain off our roads.
ReplyDeleteHurry up! DRY UP!
How is the flooding in CV? Around CV? I'm hungry.
ReplyDeleteThere is enuf dry road to get to plenty food, stay out of water and Lake Worth (DMV closed).
ReplyDeleteIf there is more than a inch or two of standing water on the roads or parking lots, it's TOO much for me. It was that bad and more last night around 5 pm. I don't like wet floors either.
ReplyDeleteI went to Publix Comm. Drive and there was no water anywhere. This was at Noon
ReplyDeleteI shopped on Saturday in preparation for the storm. You wouldn't pry me out of my house in this type of weather even though I have an SUV. It is much safer watching the weather from your condo.

ReplyDeleteI would like to know why CERT did not get out and make sure that the recycle bins were not put away. All that trash ended up covering the drains throughout the village.
ReplyDeleteI thought CERT was to assist in the event of an emergency - well I hate to see what would happen in the event of a hurricane. What about the drill this week - would of been the perfect storm to see how things went.
Upon entering the village yesterday at 3:30 pm at the West Gate security had removed the arms but was no where to be seen to warn of the flooding!!!! And today upon entering the east gate the gate arms were still off. Now i feel real secure - maybe I won't pay my security fee next month.
ReplyDeleteHi wine52,
ReplyDeleteAugust 28, 2012 5:44 PM,
The recycle bins are assigned to the Associations, each Association is responsible for securing their bins.

Hi wine52,
ReplyDeleteAugust 28, 2012 5:47 PM,
Those floods developed very rapidly, circa 5 to 6pm. We got cones up as quickly as possible.
There are some technical issues at the gates, as soon as they are resolved the gate arms will be re-installed.

I drove home from work around 3pm, on Monday. Okeechobee Blvd narrowed from 4 lanes to 1 lane from Military Trail all the way to the West Gate. Haverhill turned into a river and C.V.'s streets were flooded. Water was up to the hubcaps in the East quadrant. With no cable to see the forecast, I didn't expect to "row" my way home... Just grateful car is still running this morning...
ReplyDeleteI realize that the flooding quickly developed but someone should of seen the the re-cycle bin - maybe re-mind everyone at the next delegates meeting.
ReplyDeleteTechnical difficulties at the gates - right - doesn't take much action to get those guards to stand outside - need to address this issue.
