What exactly is "The Presidents Umbrella Club"?
Well first of all, it has NOTHING to do with UCO. From its inception, virtually
every meeting has been devoted to bad mouthing UCO and me personally. How many
of you have been invited to a meeting of PUC and walked out when the bashing
began? So, don't support those who are attempting by way of rabble rousing to
accomplish what they cannot accomplish by way of the ballot!!
So, would you like to attend a bashing session, put on by those who produced the recall petition, well here is UNSIGNED item number 2 appearing on some bulletin board

Well, yes, Dave, I'd like to attend one of the bashing sessions, but I'm afraid I'd be so bored, because they (apparently) bash only this one guy. A little variety would help. Change whom they're bashing, find some other things to bash about, and maybe they'd get a bigger crowd. Maybe then I'd be motivated.

ReplyDeleteAnyone who attends UCO meetings is revolted by PUC content and stays away from PUC. So PUC thrives and spreads their story at clubs, social events, the pool etc.
ReplyDeleteDave has done a superhuman job of bringing communication to the village, sunshine meetings and Information Forward. But some people do not want to read or go to UCO meetings. They are very vulnerable to PUC propaganda.
The top item is just what I heard at a recent PUC meeting, Except I did not hear any 'allegedly'. You nailed it Dave - it is exactly the reverse of reality.
Well let us look at the parking lots. The job was a beautiful job before Ed Grossman poked his nose into the 1" discrepancy. At a PUC meeting that I decided to go to I left after Howie Silver put the power point contract up. These people are malcontents, have nothing more to do with their lives than to nit pick and make problems where there are none. The assembly is quite sick and tired of Ed Grossman getting up, pulling up his pants, looking at Jerry Karpf for validation and spewing out his garbage. Listen to the groans when he gets up.Yes the parking lot looks bad, thanks to Ed Grossman.

When I first got to Century Village, I heard nightmare stories about one former UCO president who took kickbacks, another who used guard staff to transport him anywhere he wanted, among other things, and a third who cost the Village $700,000 in a lawsuit that got us nothing in return -- and who also supported a company that ruthlessly ripped off our residents for after-hurricane repairs. None of these presidents was ever impeached.
ReplyDeleteBut now we have a President who has never broken a law, mismanaged funds or in any way harmed the Village, and he's victimized by people best known for their pointless anger and obstruction. Delegates are too smart to be fooled by outright lies and distortions. Delegates recognize groundless, hateful attacks when they see them and will vote against this petition.
Hi Anita. Well said. As a resident since 2005, I lived through some of the things you mentioned in your post. There are truly a few "meshugeners" behind this petition.
