  1. Oh please!!!! Grow up already. Or go cry to mommy. This is ludicrous. Talk about wasting money....now we have to waste money on legal fees against this. Doesn't it seem very hypocritical? UCO needs to countersue and get back ALL legal fees

  2. This is a class action for $15,000, so if they win we all get $2. Let's give them their $2 and stop this nonsense. The delegates spoke overwhelmingly, enough of this circus!

  3. Hi Marc,
    February 21, 2013 at 4:12 PM,

Read it end to end, they seek upwards to 400K!

Think about that when you cast your votes for Executive Board candidates.

  4. It appears to me that they are attempting a class action suit on behalf of all 7,854 units requesting $50 per unit ($392,700) plus costs and attorney fees. I as one would never opt into such a suit as I would be suing for my own money and possibly put an end to UCO and the great job they are doing under Dave Israel. I feel that most unit owners also would opt out to this class action suit. Can't we start a petition to the court signed by all unit owners who wish to opt out of this suit and perhaps kill this class action before it starts?

  5. Hi Harvey,
    February 21, 2013 at 9:34 PM,

Well, you are in an area well beyond my pay grade.

My limited understanding is that this "suit" will be handed over to our Insurance carrier who will appoint an Attorney(s) to defend UCO (Of which all owners are members).

It is interesting, that one of the Plaintiffs, Mr. Solomon was a co-plantiff (with one Olga Wolkenstein - a current Candidate for UCO Vice President) in a suit against WPRF some years ago, that adventure cost the Unit Owners some $700.000.00!!!

Perhaps this "suit" will break new records.

  6. And I guess our Insurance Carrier will drop us once this charade is over!......What a waste of time and energy!

  7. I get letters from 1 or 2 class action suits each year, they send a letter with the option for me to opt out. Goodness knows if that will apply here.

  8. Who are the vice- presidents and board of directors that are running for office that are pro-Dave?

  9. The UCO reporter did not mention how many Vice presidents and how many Executive Board Members are up for election.

  10. Hi Sue H,
    February 22, 2013 at 11:04 AM,

I would think very carefully before voting for Mr. Karpf for Executive Board, as he is a co-plantiff in this disruptive suit against UCO.

What exactly would he bring to the table??

  11. I also would like to opt out of this ridiculous lawsuit. How can we opt out. Maybe we could have a vote at the Delegates assembly on March 1 to see how many delegates want to opt out. Those people Solomon and Karpf do not speak for me. They will also come to the assembly eventually to ask for money to sue ourselves.

  12. Who gave these jokers permission to speak for all CV unit owners?
The majority spoke against the recall!

  13. This Grossman character likes to see and hear himself at all meetings.
And Salomon is a professional "SUER"!

Why don't you guys relax by the pool and enjoy your retirement!.....

  14. class action suits are extremely difficult to file. you need to file a number of different legal documents to satisfy the court. Two individuals cannot simply do it alone.

  16. To Annonymous - Mr. Grossman storm-troopered over all of the owners at Wellington A and they all shuttered in fear that he will get his lawyers after them. All he needs is an arm band and a pair of boots. at a PUC meeting he called himself "Curly". Was he referring to the three stooges?

  17. What did Karpf bring to the table at recent PUC meeting:
A VERY expensive law suit sez Grossman. Karpf said that 'All UCO bylaws should be torn up and started from scratch' and yet he has never submitted change. He also misrepresented Dave's words and stated anti-Dave/UCO rumors. Law suits are just about the money and troublemaking right.

  18. On February 24, 2013 at 6:04 pm, Anonymous made a blanket statement. On the Blog it shows "This comment has been removed by a blog administrator." Who is this administrator? Who censures the blog & why does this person reserve the right to pick & choose what is published? It would seem that the BLOG is a closed corporation. Is this true?
