Argo

I have see Argo yesterday. I appreciate very much the film programmation at the Club House. The room was almost full. So I am not the only one appreciating! So, thank you to the organisators. By the way, Argo is base on a true story of an exceptionnal Can-Am collaboration . A little bit like what we live here in CV. If you want to know what is the real story, here is a good report from one of the ostages.

  1. I read some reviews of this movie and learned that apparently the moviemakers skewed a number of the facts. Still, it was supposed to be a very good movie, so I decided to see it, thinking of it as a piece of fiction. Of course I could not really do that, because it's hard to fool yourself, but it helped me to enjoy the film. It was probably the best movie I've seen in a long time. It had you biting your nails at the end. A cheer went up from the audience when the Swissair plane got aloft, carrying the six US embassy personnel who had hidden at the Canadian embassy. Whether their escape was really that close, I don't know, but it was exciting.
