DAVID ISRAEL LOVES ME

Thank you David Israel for giving my brilliant essay the publicity it deserves on your blog. I am delighted that you think enough of me to allow your audience to appreciate it as well.  I know in their fondest heart of hearts; they share my thoughts even although many of them fear retribution from you should they ever bring my words to their lips. So again, in gratitude, I say, thank you from the bottom of my heart for sharing my opinion of Joy Vestal and enlightening your followers who seek the truth.
Do you really wish to put such a person on your Executive Board. Please do not vote for Olga Wolkenstein.

  1. Thankfully, the "La Concha" piece is in small print. What a contrast between the Joy Vestal I have come to know and the writer of this piece. Joy makes working at the UCO Reporter fun, and from my vantage point she does her job as coeditor extremely well. It is not an easy job making the decisions she and Myron Silverman must make. How in the world she manages to be a UCO vice president at the same time, I don't know, but she does it WELL. I would like to think better of the writer of "La Concha." I would like to think this was just one time she flew off the handle and that a heartfelt apology will be forthcoming someday. Don't say it's impossible.

  2. I am neither a registered Democrat, not a registered Republican. Each year I try to look at candidates for election with a relatively clear eye and vote for those who seem least offensive to me (Sorry, I haven't voted with enthusiasm for some time). Our government was set up with enough checks and balances that seldom does one party control all (for good or bad). However, here we have just one UCO Board and I had considered voting for Ms. Wolkenstein in order to break what seems to be a "Yes, Mr. Israel" mentality on the board. Unfortunately Ms. Wolkenstein's "La Concha" essay (?) has ended her for consideration in my mind. We all become angry at times and say things we SHOULD regret. There is no regret here; but more important, there is no sense of the indignity of her words when launched against another woman. Women have for years suffered indignities and abuse by those who reduce them to the sexual parts of their anatomy. Many of the women of this village grew up during the age of feminism, in which we fought hard to be accepted for the whole of our being. Shame on you. Ms. Wolkenstein
