No Smoking Rules

Was any consideration given to prohibiting smoking along the walking path around C.V.? It is never fun getting a face-full of smoke when jogging or walking around the perimeter. Relying on such a simple courtesy as avoiding smoking where folks are getting exercise does not seem to work.

*****SCAM ALERT!   SCAM ALERT!*****

We received a phone call from a recorded message claiming to be from the IRS. This is a computer generated voice, it says:

(the beginning was not recorded clearly)…"The IRS has decided to initiate proceedings against 'your name', so in the next 24 hours we will be marking a lien on your assets and your bank accounts for you inability to settle your debt with the IRS. A collection officer will visit with you soon to complete the paperworks, if you have any questions then call our tax default line 844-325-0371, I repeat, 844-325-0371. If you do not call immediately or we do not hear from your attorney, you will be sole responsible for all legal consequences, good bye”

 We looked up the area code and apparently it is one that charges you and not the originator of the call. When it came to the part ‘your name’, it actually said “YOUR NAME”. THAT by itself should clue you in that it is a scam. DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT Give ANYONE your banking information, credit card numbers, or social security numbers. Simply hang up and call PBSO and the IRS. The IRS has it's own POLICE AND WILL INVESTIGATE.

To find out if a post on this blog has been commented on, so far as I know there is now no way to know except clicking on "Links to this post" to find out. It used to be one could know at a glance if there had been comments, because there would be a notation in the same place saying, for example, "Two comments." You clicked on this if you wanted to read the comments, but saved the time of doing any clicking (which changes the screen) if there was no notation. The old way was a time saver, and I wonder now if readers even realize there ARE comments when there are. Can we go back to the old way, Mr. Blogmeister? I think it might encourage more participation.
