Dave your comment vanished, also -And where pray tell are these clear signs, Try to find them on either guardhouse! I concede they may have existed once upon a time but were stolen by Republicans Ha, Ha, Ha,
ReplyDeleteHi Elaine,
DeleteSolicitation is prohibited, we shall look into the disappearance of the signs.
Dave Israel
Ah, I see. Must have been one of my lieutenants calling on you by mistake, Elaine. What are these signs you're talking about, by the way? Do they say NO VOTING FOR OTHERS?
ReplyDelete"No voting for others"? I don't even know what I meant!
DeleteThink we should politics out of this blog or it could get to be a mess like the rest of the country
ReplyDeleteIn the same spirit, "Our village blog part II" needs a name change, might I suggest Elaine's blog since she seems to be the only one writing on and having access to it.
DeleteI have my own blog, which is linked on the side, and I express whatever I want to on it, but it is clearly titled Bob's Blog. If I want to start offending the other political parties, then it should not be on "the village blog part II" Do it on your own blog, under your own name.
DeleteAgreed Barbara. I was initially aiming for "Are charities and politics excluded from our solicitation rules", I guess not. I was deflected by the sign disappearances.
ReplyDeleteI do not see why the comments about the person offering to take the ballot, they all do that. Even the Democrats, so are you now saying neither party should trust giving the ballot to someone offering to bring it in? I recall the Democratic club offering the same thing at the Delegate Assembly.... So since You do not trust a Republican to take your ballot and Republicans probably would not trust a democrat, I propose that no one be allowed to collect them in the village ever. Go to the polls, or send in by mail. Keep giving the country reasons to split further and blame the other. WHEN DOES THE STUPIDITY STOP?
ReplyDelete"Elaine's blog," or Blog No. 2, was set up when we learned there was a limit of 100 persons allowed on the first blog, I believe, and it was at capacity. I thought the point was for Blog No. 2 to provide for 100 more persons to post and comment, carrying on with the conversations on Blog No. 1. It just never got used that way apparently, and I can see why. There would have been extreme difficulties maintaining continuity while going back and forth between blogs. You were the administrator on Blog No. 2, I take it, Elaine, and you've done yeoman work trying to keep it going. (Take a bow.) Occasionally I have made a comment on the blog, but it's really not fulfilling its purpose as I understood it. What to do? I don't know!
ReplyDeleteIf I had my own blog, I could have some pretty vehement arguments with myself.
