Hello All-

It is almost the weekend,  Just a few more hours to happy hour time!  Anyone know any CV gossip?

I may be a tad early, but who is running this year for President?   I am wondering if Mr. Israel is going to toss his hat in the ring??  I think he may like cats, so he is my man!
....................................................................
This is Tom the cat of "Tom and Jerry" fame. The candidate is definitely a cat lover.

HURRICANE DORIAN UPDATE FOR CENTURY VILLAGE

-

9/3/2019 PROPERTY MANAGER’S REPORT (UPDATED)
By Donald Foster, LCAM
PBC EMERGENCY HOTLINE 561-712-6400

UCO- UCO Office will be open for business tomorrow, 9/4, at 9:00 AM.

CV RECREATIONAL FACILITY- Clubhouse and Fitness Center will reopen tomorrow at 8:00 AM.

ATLANTIC BROADBAND- Temporary ABB retail store, on the second floor of the CV Clubhouse, will reopen tomorrow at 8:00 AM.

BUS SERVICE- Restoration of bus service will likely coincide with the reopening of the CV Clubhouse, but this will be dependent on weather conditions.

SECURITY- Roving patrols have resumed. Full security service will resume tomorrow, including manned entry gates.

UCO REPORTER- Newspapers will be delivered on Saturday, 9/7 and Sunday, 9/8.

WASTE PRO- Garbage collection will resume tomorrow morning.  Regular garbage, recyclables, and bulk waste collection will happen on regularly scheduled days. Tomorrow will be recycle pickups for all sections.  Friday will be bulk garbage pickup day.

POST STORM SURVEY- CV Associations are advised to survey their properties for storm related damage, and make arrangements for repairs. Most of this damage was not caused by wind or rain, but rather last minute installation of plywood window coverings. Holes in building exteriors, from masonry nails and screws, will need to be patched and painted. Also, there are many broken EXIT lights on exterior catwalks, caused by sheets of plywood being hurriedly moved to units by untrained workers.

Associations are reminded that Waste Pro does not pick up construction and demolition debris as part of regular service, and this includes sheets of plywood. Please call Waste Pro for special pickup, or arrange for this material to be moved off property.

Live Camera - Dorian

Is there a or several ‘live cameras’ (webcam) overlooking some part of Century Village that either snowbirds or those who have left for security reasons the site can view?

This could help us for evaluating ‘live’ the severity of the damage (if applicable) to the Village in general and also help us evaluate  the situation if we have parents, family or friends on site.

I’m sure I’m not the only person who would appreciate this feature!

Thanks!

 Paul Monette

How often can we slide through our security gate like this?

Thank you all, who contribute to keep Century Village rolling along !

HURRICANE PREPARATION TIP

If your dumpster has a security bar, make sure it is up over the dumpster lids.

This will exclude hurricanes and raccoons!

HURRICANE DORIAN - IT'S ALL A MATTER OF THE WOBBLE AND THE TURN

CNN

There is still time to get essentials. I was at the Publix on Roebuck Road and Haverhill on Saturday. It was not crowded, and there was plenty of water and other items.
