THE REMOTE WHISPERER

I attended the class on how to use the Comcast remote. Here are some things to remember:

• There is a red button marked "Guide" on the left middle that will access an onscreen TV guide. You can use that to program the VCR.
  
• If you use the big red button to turn on and off every device and things go wrong (you must pay attention), use the little buttons on top of the button (that is, use "Cable" to turn on the box and then "Power").
  
• If you accidentally turn on Channel 1, use the channel button on the right to switch to another channel. The category marked "Free Movies" really is free.
  
• Don't throw away the other remote (the one that came with the set); you will need it as well.
