Save our $$ - STOP Cutting Palms
According to Code and experts NONE of our palms need trimming, it only makes money for landscapers. Trimming increases palms need for water and fertilizer. See Jarriel currently overpruning near the CV 4-way. Someone talked us into this because they made no hurricane money!
Pruning Palms
GREEN FRONDS – Do not remove ANY green fronds especially above the horizontal.
YELLOW FRONDS - Avoid removing, these still feed the plant.
BROWN FRONDS - OK to remove if desired.
SEEDS & FLOWERS - OK to remove if desired.
Palm canopies should be 9 o'clock to 3 o'clock
Over-pruned palms look terrible and could attract pests. Edward F. Gilman UF IFAS.

No cutting today, maybe that was a Medical Center enterprise yesterday. Still bad for palms and ugly. Education on sensible and legal trimming is always good. See PB County ULDC
