DOES ANYONE KNOW ABOUT THIS PLANNED DEMONSTRATION?

The following 8-1/2 x 11 notice was posted on the Canterbury K bulletin board. It was not dated or signed. It had not been posted on our (Sheffield N’s) bulletin board the last I checked. I have copied it below as accurately as possible, including some misspellings.
I get the general idea, but..... Not all the references to article numbers seem to be correct. Our docs, like those of many associations, have been amended to allow certain pets, and so far as I can see our docs exclude boats and trailers from the condo property, but not motorcycles and trucks. As for planting fruit trees, etc., I didn’t see anything in our docs about this, but I could have missed something. Finally, I am no horticulturist, but wouldn’t a law prohibiting plants that attract bees be outlawing a lot of plants?
Can anyone shed any light on what this is all about and whether it’s being undertaken by serious people with some legal backing? What was on the sign follows:
CENTURY-VILLAGE RESIDENTS
THERE WILL BE A DEMONSTRATION JUNE 7TH BEGINNING AT 9:00 AM AT THE WEST-GATE OKEECHOBEE BLVD.

  1. Hi Lanny,

It is so replete with error and incoherence as to be unworthy of response.

  2. Planting plants that attract bees??? I think that's most of them. Who posted this nonsense??

  3. Every Condominium Association is an individual entity with its own Governing Documents. None of the issues listed have anything to do with Forida Statutes. I'll have to side with Dave's opinion.

  4. This morning I drove out to the West Gate at 9:00 to see what the demonstration was amounting to, and I saw nothing. I couldn't hang around, because I had to get over to the UCO Reporter office, where I've volunteered my services and they are running me ragged. I wondered if anyone else saw anything.

  5. Elaine Brown was a little concerned that my joke about being "run ragged" at the Reporter office might be taken seriously, dampening ideas some might have had about helping out there. I assure you all it was a joke. We are anything but run ragged by the nice people at the Reporter office. (Well, okay, it gets a bit busy as we're about to go to press.) So come and join us if you think you could help in any way!

Sorry, my New England dry sense of humor gets me into trouble now and then.....
