GROUP FOR FAIR AND INDEPENDENT ELECTION - CANDIDATES FORUM

-
GFIE – Group for Fair and Independent Election

The candidates forum will be held on Monday, February 27th at 9:30am, in the auditorium of the clubhouse.

Susan Bucher will be the moderator. She is well known to the residents of Century Village having represented our area when she was a State Representative from 2000 to 2008, was instrumental in helping when the hurricanes occurred and aided owners to obtain insurance policies after companies went bankrupt.

Nominees will participate in the forum. The exact details are still being worked out.

All owners who attend the forum will be eligible to receive a raffle ticket to win one of the two TV sets. You must show a Century Village Identification upon arrival. Please come early so that the forum may start at 9:30am sharp.

We are looking forward to introducing the candidates and seeing all of you at the CANDIDATES FORUM.

  1. THANK YOU, ROBERTA...I had put an article in the UCO Reporter saying how unfair it was to give raffle tickets to only delegates and what little confidence you had in them. I am glad to see the committee has revised their decision and is giving raffle tickets to all residents that want to be informed. BRAVO!

  2. CONGRATULATIONS, on arriving
    at this decision...however,
perhaps we can take this one
    step further, by disclosing
    whether this is a corporate
    or individual who has made
    this most generous offer.

  3. Hi all,

This is not about who will win a TV, nor is it about who is sponsoring the initiative!

It is about the 50% of Delegates who never show up for Delegate Assembly!

Millions have died in defense of, and in pursuit of representitive Democracy; the message here is simple, "use it - or lose it"!

  4. We are aware of the Purpose
    of this"Forum", however,this
    Group has chosen to entice
    the Residents ( Delegates or
otherwise)as stated, I believe in Transparency..
It would put to rest speculation of the source of
    the "donation".

  5. Anonymity in contributing is a right one has, to my way of thinking. It is done all the time. If a person (or an entity) had something to GAIN politically by donating a TV, I should think they would WANT their name published, not the reverse.

I am glad to see the raffle will be open to any CV resident and not be limited to delegates.
