CV CONSTITUTIONAL CRISIS LOOMS

Hi all,

Imagine my surprise to discover that Candidate for UCO Treasurer Dorothy Tetro has her Unit listed for sale:
...............................................
REF:

-
312 E Wellington UNIT 312, West Palm Beach, FL 33417

MLS# R3240906. 2 beds. 2.0 baths. Condo. Active

Unfurnished. $400.00 Monthly Fees. $256 in taxes (2010)

$57,900 Reduced by $5,600 (9.7%)
.........................................................
A cursory reading of the UCO Bylaws reveals the following:
-
"All Officers of UCO must be members of UCO, and be domiciled and reside in Century Village, West Palm Beach, Florida, for a period of not less than nine (9) months of each year in which they serve. "

Members of UCO, are all those who are unit owners.
-
So, what if Dorothy was elected, and then her unit sold while she was in Office, since she would no longer own property here in CV, she would no longer be a"member of UCO", and thus not be eligible to serve!
-
Dorothy: do the right thing, withdraw from the election, or at least explain on this BLOG what you were thinking in your planning for the future, when you placed your name as a candidate!
-
Considering these issues, Vote for Ed Black for Treasurer, he is highly qualified, a proven Treasurer, and presents no possible conflict with our Bylaws.

  1. As President of the Wellington E building, where Dorothy lives, it is my understanding that her apartment is no longer up for sale. Also with regard to our condo association,as a former board member Dorothy has given us a lot of sound financial advice and helped to make sure that we are on a solid financial footing.
