HOW MANY OF US HAVE AN INTERNET CONNECTED DEVICE?

Lanny's question is a good one, but it does not go far enough. below is a graphic showing the number of INTERNET connected devices by year since 2012 and projected out to 2020. The INTERNET as a CV amenity is not just about Computers. INTERNET in every Unit is something that will increasingly add value to our property and pleasure and convenience to our lives. Look below the chart for a short list of devices that use the INTERNET.

Desktop Computer, Laptop, Mobile phone/Smartphone, Games Console, Portable media player, Tablet, Connected or Smart TV, E-reader. IP Security Camera.....Etc.

How many of us, our Children, our Grandchildren have one or more of these devices. Let's move into the 21st. Century. The choice will be yours.

HOW MANY CV RESIDENTS HAVE A COMPUTER?

I've heard different guesses (and some assertions) on how many residents in the Village have a computer. I would estimate that about half of our association's 26 units have someone who uses a computer, but our association may not be typical—and neither may yours be typical.

This would be a nice thing to know for when decisions are being made about Wi-Fi and Broadband, etc. The number of computer users is growing, of course, but what is it NOW?

It occurred to me that one way to find out might be to have WPRF ask unit owners if they have a computer (which they use) when WPRF sends out their 2017 coupons. Ask owners to complete a simple YES or NO form and return it. Is it too late for this? Would this work or is there a better way? I think that unfortunately a good deal of guesswork about this has been going on.

UCO has received many questions on the issue of Fire Sprinkler Retrofit. This Post, first Blogged on May 4, 2016 is being brought up to the top, for those who have not opted-out and wish to do so. The deadline is December 31, 2016. Time is tight, but it is still possible.

Sidewalks or street, life or death?

Before someone get killed or injured, Let everyone know, sidewalks are for walking and even riding bicycles, STREETS are FOR MOTOR VEHICLES!!!!
Lately, too many people are walking in the street with their backs to oncoming traffic and dressed in dark clothing.
Does someone need to die before anyone says anything about this?
This is not just a resident problem, it is caretakers and visitors also. three or four times, I have seen people walking along the street talking on their cellphones while having their back to traffic.
IF YOU SEE THIS HAPPENING, BLOW YOUR HORN AT THEM, maybe then they'll get the hint.
