Man in Lake
This morning around 10:30 I started up my car and was getting ready to leave. It's always my habit to look out on the lake where the clubhouse is. I always enjoy the view. I couldn't believe my eyes because there was a man standing in the water. I thought I was seeing things. I was horrified. When my husband came out of the house, I told him about the man in the water. He called out to him to get out of the water and also told him there are alligators. He told my husband that he was born in Florida and to mind his business. There was a lot of profound language back and forth. That took a lot of nerve on this man's part because my husband was only concerned for his welfare.
I know there is a rule not to bathe or stand in the water. Besides, if anything happened to him and another person tried to help him and got hurt, it would have been a disaster. I know now this man is probably mentally disturbed. You have to be crazy to go into the lake water.
Security should check out the picnic grounds by the clubhouse.

BETTER THEATER SEATING
It is probably too late to be suggesting this, because I understand the Operations Committee is going to be taking up tomorrow the subject of reserving seats for shows. But for what it is worth late in the game…..
If the Committee cannot come to agreement on giving residents who pay and reserve in advance for the shows some say on where they sit—which I think they should have and is the best solution—PERHAPS WPRF CAN DO A BETTER JOB OF DECIDING WHAT ARE THE PREFERRED SEATS.
For starters, the first few rows of seats on the extreme left and right are not as good as seats farther back and nearer the middle of the theater. I would suggest too that any seats in the first 3-4 rows are not as desirable as those from say, row 5 back. Also, that seats in the center-front of the balcony are better than many seats on the extreme ends. A lot of people like those center-front balcony seats.
I would recommend that a small committee be formed to hash this out and come up what they consider the “A” seats, the “B” seats, and so forth. Then, if using the random lottery system, assign the seating by first selling the “A” seats, then the “B” seats, etc. This is what WPRF does now, I believe, but I think their determination of how seats rank with the people has been off the mark.

CLUBHOUSE CLOSING
A few questions about the Club House closing from August 8th - September 8th.
1. Why does the Club House need to be closed for Elecrical work, when just 3 (three) years ago it was rebuilt due to the hurricane???? Why wasn't all electrical work done then???????
2. WiFi -- where will WiFi be available during this month-long process????
3. Will we all get a rebate from WPRF for the interuption of service????

who manages to bring out the "BEST" in all of us...
However, this COMING SUNDAY, JULY 3RD, 2011, the hours are from

WPRF and Theater tickets for 2011-2012
-
Re the closure of the Clubhouse this summer. Is there any decision as to where WPRF will have their office for ID cards? Also, what's the schedule for picking up the yearly ticket forms and where do we go to get them?
............................................................................
The following is provided by Anita Pearce, VP W.P.R.F., Inc., as to services that will be available at Hastings Clubhouse during closure of main clubhouse.
Dave Israel
...................................
ID Office will be open - we plan to provide IDs for new owners and all forms of temporary and guest passes as usual at Hastings. In addition, our A/R Dept will be open at Hastings to accept and process payments, issue estoppels, answer questions and the like. My office staff (administration) will also be available at Hastings. The ticket office will be closed, but staff will be working on season ticket processing outside of Hastings.
Hope this helps. Please keep in mind these are initial plans, all subject to change.

Revolt By Clubhouse Pool People Likely.
Resentment of Snowbirds not having to endure the Clubhouse Pool closure is at a boiling point . Poolers were heard saying WPRF & UCO officials should be carted off to Duck Island and placed in stocks, for a week or so. Other Poolers were planning simultaneous Marches on UCO and WPRF to stone officials. If it wasn't for the cool head of Marvin G, Poolers would have been in marauding bands looking for officials today. I tell ya folks, there's trouble in River City .

Clubhouse Outdoor Pools
Rumor has it , the Clubhouse will be closed for a month to rewire and bring it up to code or something . Will the guest and residents pools remain open while the work is being done? I hope so.
